After a whole afternoon of raining, I was sitting in the balcony when I noticed this little birdie sitting there, not waiting for anything, just sitting. Calm & quiet. Lost somewhere. It would twitch and try to dry itself by jerking its body every now and then, but didn’t fly away. After some time, I thought of shooting it. As I came back with the camera, it was still there, still lost. Even after I was done snapping this photograph, it sat there for a long time. It was only after it got dark, that it flew away and its sight diluted in the darkness.

Me too..
He looks like he's feeling very peaceful perched up there. Glad you decided to take his picture.
This is a great shot–it's very emotive. I really appreciate your narratives. I very much like to read photographer's thoughts as well as enjoy their images.
Thanks, Christopher… Well, thoughts are what evoke the feeling behind the picture, or the other way around, right?
