This blue eyed Malabar Pied Hornbill was a sight to see. It was trying to make a call. The beak’s what caught my attention. It’s huge, to say the least, and the sound was unlike anything I’d heard before although, if you ask me now, I don’t remember what it sounded like then…

Wonderful
Thanks, Joshi…
It almost doesn't look real, Sudipto. Well done.
Thank you kindly, Ginnie…
Magnifique prise

Merci, JP.
it does look impressive, Sudipto. i remember from somewhere that for birds with such beaks, they are made of a fairly hollow honeycomb like structure so that it does not add to their weight significantly.
An interesting beak indeed.
